Shanghai Glass Museum, the first museum with glass as the theme in China, opened at No. 685, Changjiang West Road, Baoshan District on May 18, 2011. It was formerly the old glass furnace workshop of Shanghai Light Industry Glass Co., Ltd., but now it has become an art studio to show the development of modern technology and craft. Visitors can have a deeper understanding of glass, the ubiquitous "friend" in life. On the one hand, the G+glass theme park, which takes glass as the main body of artistic expression, presents, explains, updates and enriches the material and spiritual forms of glass at multiple levels and angles in a diversified and open physical format. Shanghai Glass Museum aims to create a brand new museum visiting experience with rich historical knowledge, fresh glass works, open communication space and community-based communication mode, and bring China closer to the world, glass art and other art forms, history and works, culture and industry, glass art and people.
