The Sun Moon Lake was formerly called Shuisha Lian, Longhu, Shuishe Great Lake, Zhutan, Shuangtan, also known as Shuili Community. The lake is 748 meters above sea level and the maximum depth is 27 meters. It is one of the freshwater lakes with the most exotic species in Taiwan
