At the 2023 Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition of the Yellow River, a set of 24 solar terms flower buns, which took more than 40 days to produce, attracted the audience to discuss: "You see, at the beginning of spring, old farmers plow; at the Qingming Festival, cowboys ride cattle; at the beginning of summer, lotus ripples slightly..."
Recently, the 2023 Yellow River Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition co sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Shanxi Province was held in the Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. More than 600 representative intangible cultural heritage projects and 300 representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage along the nine provinces (districts) of the Yellow River gathered here for mutual learning. The 7200 square meter exhibition hall is divided into two parts, namely, the Yellow River farming civilization and the Yellow River pasta culture. It displays the classic intangible cultural heritage representative projects of farming culture in nine provinces (districts) along the Yellow River, presents the intangible cultural heritage works in the way of immersive scenes and market fairs, so that the audience can enjoy the unique local customs along the Yellow River.
The theme exhibition area of agricultural civilization of the Yellow River has broken through the previous way of exhibition arrangement in different provinces. With the classification and cultural form of representative intangible cultural heritage projects, it connects the past, present and future of intangible cultural heritage of the Yellow River with three parts: tracing the source of the river, nourishing the river, and running the river.
The source tracing plate of the big river is mainly to explore the root vein of the Yellow River culture. The folk community fire is a traditional folk custom in Shanxi Province, Shaanxi Province and Henan Province. In order to show the scene of folk community fire on the 15th day of the first lunar month, Jia Yinyong, the representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Shanxi Province, carefully designed a group of clay sculptures of community fire works and five generations of colorful door building models. In the window, nearly one hundred clay figurines vividly displayed more than a dozen kinds of folk social fire performances, such as lifting the pavilion, carrying sticks, and wrestling with two ghosts. Each clay figurine has a perfect movement and rich and realistic expressions.
At the entrance of the Yellow River Noodle Culture Exhibition Area, there is a large pagoda tree model in Hongdong, about 5 meters high, which means going home and aftertaste. The exhibition area is in the shape of a "Hui". In the form of a market, it shows the traditional intangible cultural heritage food in nine provinces (districts) along the Yellow River. The audience can experience the intangible cultural heritage in their lives in the midst of fireworks.
Nostalgia is the missing of taste. In the "Aftertaste of Eight Directions" National Food Unit, the representative food catalogue of all parts of the country inspired by the "Thousand Miles Map" enables everyone to find the flavor of their hometown and listen to the story behind the production of hometown food.
All kinds of Shanxi intangible cultural heritage food, such as fragrant but not greasy Taigu cake, Tianlongxiang oil flower in Pingyao ancient city, and crispy and delicious Jishan twist flower, make people salivate.
In the "Memory Fragrance" vinegar and wine culture unit, Shanxi Fenjiu, which is known as the textbook of Chinese liquor brewing, Daixian Yellow Rice Wine, which is known as the "Southern Shaoxing Northern Dynasties", and Shanxi aged vinegar, one of the four famous Chinese vinegar, attracted the attention of the audience.
"We let everyone learn the skills of intangible cultural heritage and experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage through the flour art performance." In the "Looking Back" Shanxi Pasta Unit, the vice principal of Shanxi Shengshi Catering and Tourism Technical School is leading the students to show the skills of making noodles such as cat ears, dragon whisker noodles, and Guan Gong noodles.
It is worth mentioning that this exhibition also enables young people to fall in love with intangible cultural heritage in interaction, and also enables the ancient intangible cultural heritage technology to burst into new vitality through new means such as immersive exhibition viewing combined with technology and intangible cultural heritage, and embedding intangible cultural heritage elements into games. At the Yellow River Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, the theme exhibition area of "Nine Curves of the Yellow River Digital Movement Intangible Cultural Heritage" will comprehensively display the achievements of the digital exploration of the Yellow River Intangible Cultural Heritage. Many intangible cultural heritage projects in the Yellow River basin, such as Shanxi Chengni Inkstone, Shaanxi Xiqin Embroidery, Gansu Dunhuang Painted Sculpture, Lanzhou Yellow River Waterwheel, and Inner Mongolia harness production, are deeply embedded in the game, so that the audience can feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage in the Yellow River basin in the various interactions of the game.
