Chinese pride: the world's highest bridge

There is a saying in the world bridge industry: the world bridge construction looked at Europe and America before the 1970s, Japan in the 1990s, and China in the 21st century. At present, "China Bridge" has become a bright name card and an important symbol of China's comprehensive national strength.

China has set a new world record. The world's highest bridge is open to traffic in the Nizhu River Canyon at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou. It is the G56 Hangzhou Ruili Expressway Beipanjiang Bridge. This bridge with a vertical height of 565m is equivalent to a height of 200 floors!

Think of the glass bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, which is about 300 meters high, which makes many people tremble. The 565 meters high Beipanjiang Bridge is almost twice as high as the glass bridge in Zhangjiajie

Looking at the Beipanjiang Bridge from a distance, one bridge crosses Yunnan and Guizhou, and the Tianchan becomes a thoroughfare. This Panjiang Bridge is located at the junction of Xuanwei, Yunnan, and Shuicheng, Guizhou. It spans Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, with a total length of 1341.4 meters and a vertical height of 565 meters from the bridge deck to the valley bottom. It is currently the highest bridge in the world. The main piers on both sides of the bridge are 269m and 247m high respectively.

The complete name of the world's tallest bridge is Duge Beipanjiang Bridge! Local people call it the Nizhu River Bridge! Because below the bridge is the Nizhu Bridge, which crosses the Nizhu River.

The Beipanjiang Bridge is surrounded by mountains and complicated geological conditions. Through repeated demonstration, the bridge designer innovatively introduced the scheme of a super long span steel truss cable-stayed bridge in mountainous areas. With a total length of 1341.4 meters and a main span of 720 meters, it ranks second in the world in terms of bridges of the same type (sorry, the first in the world is also China's Yachi River Bridge).

During the construction of Beipanjiang Bridge, engineers and technicians used the longitudinal moving cantilever assembly technology to hoist the steel truss girder segments for the first time in the construction of long-span steel truss cable-stayed bridges in mountainous areas. This technology is to lift the 12 meter long and 160 ton steel truss girder segments integrally on the ground through cranes and other equipment. In terms of construction period, compared with the traditional process, one segment can save one to two days of construction period.

The "intelligent" concrete developed for the bridge is called "machine-made sand self compacting concrete". It has high fluidity and good anti segregation and bleeding capacity, and can be evenly and densely filled and formed by its own gravity without vibration, which can well meet the requirements of modern engineering concrete with complex structure and dense reinforcement.

After the bridge is opened to traffic, the drive from Xuanwei City, Yunnan Province to Liupanshui, Guizhou Province will be shortened from the previous 5 hours to more than 1 hour.
