Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall Shaanxi Yan'an AAAAA Tourist Attraction, built in 1950, is the earliest revolutionary memorial hall established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Above the main entrance of the pavilion is a red plaque with the name of the pavilion inscribed by Guo Moruo when he visited the pavilion in 1971. In 1996, it was designated as the national patriotism education demonstration base by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. In May 2008, it was rated as one of the first national first-class museums by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Site is the end point of the victory of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in the Long March, and also the residence of Mao Zedong and the location of the CPC Central Committee from October 1935 to August 1948. Yan'an is the holy land of Chinese revolution.
