The sunrise, cloud sea, sunset, forest and mountain railway of Alishan are collectively called "Five Wonders of Alishan". The position and time of sunrise are different in four seasons; The sea of clouds usually appears at sunrise or dusk when the weather is sunny and there are floating clouds. The layers of clouds and waves rise and fall, covering the nearby mountains, like an island emerging from the vast sea. It is one of the "Eight Views of Taiwan". Alishan has very rich forest resources, and plants are distributed in tropical, warm, temperate and cold zones. Among them, cypress forest is the most precious. Alishan Forest Railway is one of the famous mountaineering railways in the world. The train passes through four different forest areas: overheated, sub hot, warm and cold. The Alishan flower season in March and April every year is an annual drama that can't be missed. Alishan Route/How to take bus in Alishan:

Passenger car: Guoguang Passenger Transport has a tourist bus from Taipei to Alishan. It gets on the bus at Taipei West Station and takes a rest in Chiayi on the way. It takes about five hours and 45 minutes. The train departs from Taipei at 8:45 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, and from Alishan at 12:30 p.m. every other day. Self driving: The main entrance road in Alishan area is Tai-18 Highway, along which you can turn right from Longmei to Jia129 at 36km to Shanmei, Xinmei and Chashan, turn right from Shitai to 169 at 50km to Dabang, Tefune and Lijia, turn left to 169 to Fenqi Lake, Ruili, Ruifeng and Taihe, and then connect Jia155 to Laiji and Fengshan.
