The reserve is rich in animal and plant resources. At present, there are more than 1200 species of plants belonging to 155 families, 559 genera, such as Corbicula, Hypericum frutescens, Camellia pubescens and other national first-class protected plants, of which 713 are medicinal plants, such as Polygonatum, Amomum villosum, Gynostemma pentaphyllum and so on. There are 215 kinds of wild animals, including rare animals, such as louvred monkey, macaque, hornbill, Sumen antelope, etc. The Longhu Mountain Nature Reserve covers a total area of 21 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 98.7%. Among them, the monkeys in the deep mountain can be divided into Longmen Village, Longshan Village, Baihua Village and Shuizhai Village; There are bonsais in Qiyuan, such as longevity banyan, peacock opening, mantis fighting the enemy, a line of sky, stone forest maze, twin peaks worship the moon, etc. Longhu Mountain is one of the "Four Monkey Mountains" in China (Hainan Monkey Mountain/Monkey Island, Sichuan Emei Mountain, Guangxi Longhu Mountain, Heilongjiang Daxing'an Mountains), There are many macaques in the mountains that belong to the second level national key protected animals.
