Ghost City (Yadan) , also called Yadan National Geopark, originally refers to a hill with steep walls. When the wind blows, it will make all kinds of strange noises, like thousands of wild animals roaring, which is creepy, so it is also called "Dunhuang Yadan Devil City". It is located about 100km northwest of Yumenguan, Dunhuang City. Yadan is full of magnets like "stone chocolate candy", and the compass does not work here. There are no trees and grass here. There are black sea of stone and sand, and yellow clay statues, which are lifelike under the blue sky.
"Yadan" landform is a typical wind erosion landform. Geologically, Yadan landform refers to a landscape formed by a series of parallel ridges and grooves after long-term wind erosion. It is magnificent, powerful, strange and magical, and can not be appreciated without being in the scene. There are various wind erosion landforms with unique shapes in the park, such as "yurts", "camels", "stone birds", "stone men", "stone Buddha", "stone horses", etc.
