Shennongjia (Shennongjia Forest Area), a national (Hubei) 5A tourist attraction, is adjacent to Shiyan City (Wudang Mountain) in the north and Yichang City (Three Gorges Dam) in the south. Shennongjia forest area is huge. As a prefecture level administrative region, there are many towns and forest farms in Shennongjia forest area. Songbai Town in the north of Shennongjia forest area is the administrative center of the forest area, and Muyu Town in the south is the tourist reception center of the forest area. When tourists come to the forest area to play, they basically arrive at these two towns first.
As a vast tourist destination, it is divided into Shennongding Tourist Area, Tianyan Tourist Area, Xiangxiyuan Tourist Area and Yuquanhe Tourist Area. Shennongjia has no specific address. In a super large sub hall level forest area in the mountainous area of western Hubei, there is no county seat in the forest area, which is composed of several towns and forest farms. Tourist groups enter Shennongjia: the travel community takes tourists to Muyu Town in Shennongjia forest area by car. Muyu Town is the tourist distribution center of Shennongjia, which is a town with two streets in a valley. You can take the scenic spot circular bus to visit the forest area and see what savage caves and golden monkeys are.
If you want to travel by yourself and enter from Shiyan or Yichang, it is recommended to go to Muyu Town first (don't go to Songbai Town, which is the administrative organ of Shennongjia Forest District, belongs to a township, and is more than 100 kilometers away from Muyu Town, not a tourist attraction). After arriving at Muyu Town, find a hotel to stay. If possible, please contact a tour guide at the front desk of the hotel. The tour guide will arrange a bus to take you from the mountain hotel to the Shennongjia tourist distribution center on the mountain more than 10 kilometers away to buy tickets (inquire in advance and search the tour guide fees online to avoid excessive prices).
