Little Wild Goose Pagoda , a national (Xi'an) AAAA level tourist attraction, a key cultural relics protection unit in China, also known as Jianfu Temple, an ancient pagoda of the Tang Dynasty, is a famous tourist attraction in Xi'an.
It is considered to be the exquisite Buddhist architectural art heritage of the Tang Dynasty. The Little Wild Goose Pagoda and its ancient bell, namely the "Morning Bell of the Wild Goose Pagoda", are listed in the "Eight Sights in Guanzhong", because the tower is like the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and smaller than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, so it is named. The pagoda originally had 15 floors, but now it has 13 floors and is 43 meters high. The Little Wild Goose Pagoda and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda face east and west. In the long years, the Little Wild Goose Pagoda has a history of "divine union": in 1487, a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred in Shaanxi, which cracked a crack more than a foot wide from top to bottom in the middle of the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. After 34 years, in another great earthquake in 1521, the cracks closed again overnight. People puzzled, so they called the closing of the Little Wild Goose Pagoda Shenhe. In September 1555, a little Beijing official named Wang He stayed at the Little Wild Goose Pagoda on his way home. After hearing the story told by Monk Kan Guang, who had witnessed the "divine union", he was amazed and engraved this historical data on the north lintel of the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. When the Little Wild Goose Pagoda was repaired after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was found that it was not "divine union", but "human union". According to the geological conditions of Xi'an, the ancient craftsmen specially built the tower base into a semicircle sphere with rammed earth, and the pressure was evenly distributed after the earthquake.
