Badaling Great Wall is the most outstanding representative of the Great Wall. It is located in Yanqing County in the north of Beijing, more than 70 kilometers away from Beijing. The expressway runs through the mountains and it takes 40 minutes to drive from Beijing. Here, the Great Wall winds like a giant dragon along the ridge between the mountains, and beacon towers and enemy towers are densely distributed. The wall is 7.8m high and 7.8m wide at the top. Visitors can climb the city to appreciate the majesty of the Great Wall and the vastness and difficulty of the project. In 1991, Badaling ranked first among the top 40 scenic spots in China.
