summer palace , National (Beijing) AAAAA Tourist Attraction, formerly the palace and garden of Qing emperors, also known as Qingyi Garden, is the largest and best preserved imperial garden in China, with elegant scenery and many precious cultural relics, known as the "Royal Garden Museum".
The Summer Palace is divided into three areas : the political activity area centered on the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity; Emperors' living quarters with Yulan Hall and Happy Birthday Hall as the main body; Yuanyuan Tourist Area, mainly along the Long Corridor, Houshan Mountain and West District.
About three quarters of the whole park is occupied by Kunming Lake. There are more than one hundred and three thousand pavilions, terraces, towers, pavilions, corridors, pavilions and other buildings along the lake. Among them, the Buddhist Pavilion, the Long Corridor, the Stone Boat, Suzhou Street, the Seventeen Arch Bridge and other well-known representative buildings are also places that cannot be missed when visiting the Summer Palace.
It was rebuilt in the 14th year of Guangxu's reign (1888) and renamed the Summer Palace as a summer resort. In the 26th year of Guangxu's reign (1900), the Summer Palace was destroyed by the "Eight Power Allied Forces", and treasures were looted. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace was destroyed again during the warlord wars and the Kuomintang rule.

Summer Palace Tourism Guide
· The Summer Palace is large and has many scenic spots. You'd better start early.
· Enter the garden from the East Palace Gate. The bronze lion beside the gate is a good place to take photos.
· Behind the East Palace Gate is the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, which has many distinctive bronze carvings. Tourists often choose to take a group photo of the iconic bronze unicorn in the square outside the hall.
· To the south of Renshou Hall is Kunming Lake. There are ferries along the coast. If you are interested, you can rent a boat to visit the lake here. The Kunming Lake is picturesque. Along the way, there are many scenic spots, such as Zhichun Pavilion, Bronze Bull, Gouru Pavilion, and Seventeen Arch Bridge. After passing the Seventeen Arch Bridge, there is the South Lake Island. There is a ferry to the stone boat on the other side of the island.
· After disembarking from the boat, you can go north to the Houshan Mountain, and walk through the Riverside Hall, Banbi Bridge and other scenic spots to Suzhou Antique Street, where tickets are sold separately at 10 yuan per person.
· From the entrance of Suzhou Street to the east, you can go through the woods at the back of the mountain to the Xiqu Garden. The garden is small and exquisite, with a Jiangnan style.
· To the south of Xiqu Garden, there are the famous Dehe Garden Theater, Yulan Hall of Guangxu Residence and Happy Birthday Hall of Cixi Residence.
· Going west from the Happy Birthday Hall, you will arrive at the Moon Invitation Gate at the starting point of the corridor. You can enjoy the scenery of lakes and mountains, as well as the murals in the corridor.

Tourist Evaluation of the Summer Palace Scenic Spot
@ Cultivating abstruse stomach is hungry : It's a great scenic spot. I have been to Beijing for many times, but I have never been to the Summer Palace. It coincides with the May Day holiday. I accompanied my parents to Beijing for a trip, and finally came to the Summer Palace, which has long been admired. It is indeed a royal garden, several times larger than the Forbidden City in Beijing. The 60 yuan pass ticket purchased on Ctrip is very good. You don't have to queue up to get the ticket directly to enter the park, which saves a lot of time. After entering the door, they rented a commentator for 20 yuan, which is too important. It is recommended that all free travelers rent one, which can save a lot of time. On the day of the tour, except for a bit of haze, everything else was just fine, especially the temperature was neither hot nor cold, making the tour more perfect. recommend
@ Watch every second at work Although winter is an off-season for tourism, the Summer Palace has a special flavor. On the Kunming Lake, you can ride a bike and skate, listen to the uncle in the courtyard pull a section of erhu, go out of the garden and eat a hot baked sweet potato. In this cold winter, the Summer Palace is more quiet than the noise of summer!
@ Come and see it often : The most famous royal garden in China, one of the few 5A scenic spots in Beijing, is always crowded. The garden is very large, and there are too many places of interest in it. I have visited it for more than ten times, but I haven't completely visited it. The must see should be the Sixteen Arch Bridge and the Foxiangge, which are often seen on TV screens as symbols of Beijing. Last year, the Yellow Duck also visited the Summer Palace, which was even more lively at that time.
@ Departure in 194 We booked a one-day tour to the Summer Palace with the guide. The entrance to the park is by boat through Cixi Waterway. One hundred people have to take a boat for a total of three times. You can also choose not to take a boat and walk along the bank. But I think the combination of water and land can better appreciate the beauty of the Summer Palace, and the Summer Palace is still very windy, although the sun is also very big.
